Hi, I'm Mary. I'm 22. Born in Chelyabinsk, living in Pittsburgh, splitting my time in Sydney. Makeup and hockey are my passions. I love the Penguins, but I'm also a fan of the Rangers and Wings. I also enjoy football, obviously the Steelers. I mostly reblog pics, but I post some of my own. I have a pup, a bunny, and two kitties. I like coffee, adventures, cartoons, and the internets.

Island Sugar Marshmallow Body Mist Review →

Island Sugar is an indie fragrance company based in Indiana. This brand specializes in “deliciously yummy scented body mists and body frosting. All Island Sugar products are blended with high quality ingredients, are alcohol and dye free, and made to order to ensure freshness.. Because Island Sugar’s products are alcohol free, you never have to worry about strong alcohol smell masking the true, sweet scent as it does with most store bought brands.” Island Sugar products are available through the brand’s Etsy shop (which only accepts Paypal). I received a 4 fl oz bottle of the Marshmallow Body Mist in a swap with my friend Stephanie. Currently, Island Sugar is only offering 2 fl oz body mists, in your choice of 20 scents. Each Body Mist sells for $6. Island Sugar products are hand made by the owner, Tia. Click through for a full review.

Loova Citrus Bliss Bath Blaster Review →

Loova is a local Pittsburgh based company that specalises in “hand made bath and body product bursting with essential oils to sooth, revitalize, and relax your body, mind, and soul.” A while back I was out to lunch with Dean and stopped at their shop in Station Square and picked up three of their Mini Bath Blasters. I’ve always thought bath bombs and the like were a silly thing to spend money on, but Loova’s are pretty reasonably priced, selling for $2.50 each, or 3/$6 or 6/$12. I picked up two in theirSweet Pea scent, and one in Citrus Bliss. Loova offers eight scents total. Loova says that the size of their mini bath blasters shouldn’t fool you because they’re “packed full of cocoa butter and yummy oils to moisturize and sooth.” Loova products can be bought through the brand’s website, at their two stores in Station Square and Castle Shannon, and at specialty boutiques throughout the country. Loova products are handmade right here in Pittsburgh, and of course they’re cruelty free. Click through for the full review

Island Sugar Sun Drenched Body Mist Review →

Island Sugar specializes in “deliciously yummy scented body mists and body frosting! All products are blended with high quality ingredients, are alcohol and dye free, and made to order to ensure freshness. Because Island Sugar’s products are alcohol free, you never have to worry about that strong alcohol smell masking the true, sweet scent as it does with most store-bought brands.” Island Sugar is based on Etsy. I received two 4fl oz body mists in a swap with my friend Stephanie. Island Sugar offers a decently sized selection of super sweet scents; today’s review is for Sun Drenched, which is described as “delightfully warm and fruity! A tantalizing base note medley of granny smith apple and honeydew melon, middle notes of strawberry and pear, with a hint of spice”. Island Sugar body mists retail for $6

Minerals by Bee Winter Mineral Eye Sparkle Review →

This is gonna be a fun one. Minerals by Bee is not exactly a brand that I trust. I had some customer service issues right off the bat, and suspicions about the nature of the products once I received, but I decided to try them out and review the samples I received anyway. The product that appealed to me the most was the Mineral Eye Sparkle, which will help you “get to sparkling and shining with MMB’s Eye Sparkle Mineral Shadow. Have fun choosing amongst various colors. Brighten eyes with metallics or soften them with shimmers. All MMB Eye Sparkle Powders are formulated micronized mica (an all natural ingredient) and are long lasting, weightless, non-irritating, and do not contain talc, oil, or fragrance”. I received a sample of this eyeshadow in a free pack of samples, the same sample packet is still available but it now sells for $3. The full size of this eyeshadow retails for $14 and contains 5g. There’s a total of fourteen shades, I have Winter. Click through for my thoughts on the product.

Nailtini Bloody Mary Nail Lacquer Review →

Nailtini, a sub-brand of Tini Beauty Bar, calls their nail lacquers “cocktails for your nails”. I received the shade Bloody Mary in my January Ipsy bag. I gotta say, I’m not really a fan of the name. I do not want to be bloody! Jokes aside, Nailtini calls Bloody Mary a “classic, true red”. This is my second Nailtini polish, I previously received and reviewed Millionaire, a limited edition glitter polish. Each Nailtini Nail Lacquer contains .5fl oz (15ml) and retails for a pretty pricey $13. Nailtini Nail Lacquers are 3-Free, cruelty free, and made in America.Click through for more.

Loova The Beach Body Mist Review →

Loova’s Body Mist will “get your skin silky and soft with this alcohol free, quick drying body mist. A refreshing blend that moisturizes and leaves your skin softly scented.” Loova is a local, Pittsburgh based brand that sells very affordable, handmade bath and body products. If yinz recall, I  absolutely fell in love with their The Beach soap last summer, so during my last trip to their Station Square shop I grabbed a bottle of their matching body spray for $4. Loova lists the price as $5.95, so I’m not sure if this was a mini bottle, or maybe just on sale. Unsure. Anyways, Loova offers sixteen scents, so there’s a scent for everyone. Loova products can be bought through their website, at their two stores in Station Square in South Side and Castle Shannon, as well as at a variety of small shops throughout the country (a listing can be found on the website). Loova products are cruelty free and made in Pittsburgh, PA.Click through for the full review.

Loova Sweet Pea Mini Bath Blaster Review+Demo Video →

Loova is a local Pittsburgh based brand that “specializes in hand made bath and body products bursting with essential oils to soothe, revitalize, and relax your body, mind, and soul.” I’ve tried a couple of their products before, but never any of their mini bath blasters, which if you couldn’t infer, are small bath bombs. To me, bath bombs are a silly thing to spend money on often, especially if they don’t have any major skin benefits. However, when I saw how cheap Loova’s Bath Blasters were, I had to try a few. The display was fairly picked over, so they must be a popular product. I chose two in the scent Sweet Pea, and one in Citrus Bliss, I was so sad they were sold out of my favorite scent, The Beach. I used both of the Sweet Pea Bath Blasters, so it’s about time for a review. Loova says that their Bath Blasters are “packed full of cocoa butter and yummy oils to moisturize and sooth.” Each Mini Bath Blaster sells for $2.50, but Loova also offers three packs for $6 an six packs for $12. Loova offers eight scents to choose from.Click through for the rest of the post!

Nailtini Millionaire Nail Lacquer Review →

Nailtini’s Millionaire is a beautiful glitter polish from this indie brand’s limited edition Speakeasy collection. Nailtini products are made by Tini Beauty Bar, a cocktail themed beauty brand. I feel like I was aware of this brand, but never heard much buzz about it. I got this nail lacquer in my November Ipsy bag. This is actually my first indie-ish polish. I’ve been meaning to start trying more indie brands, but wasn’t quite sure where to start. This glitter polish contains the standard .5fl oz (15ml) and retails for $13. Nailtini Nail Lacquers are 3free, cruelty free, and made in the USA.
